Therapy Services

Kelley Nay chats with a client in a warmly lit room. Kelley sits on a tan leather chair, wearing glasses and a cream sweater, appearing attentive and approachable. Green plants and soft furnishings create a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.

Therapy with me isn't about quick fixes or surface solutions. It's about making space - for the real, the raw, the complex, and the hopeful.

Many of my clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally wrung out. They've been holding so much - fear, uncertainty, medical decisions, caregiving responsibilities, grief - and just need somewhere to set it all down. Sessions often begin with that exhale. A moment to be fully seen and heard, without needing to filter or hold it all together.

Together, we slow things down.

We sort through what's most pressing, explore what's underneath, and reconnect with what matters most to you. There's room to talk about the hard things, to sit in silence when words fall short, to untangle what feels messy, and even to find space for laughter along the way.

I also support clients in building the confidence and clarity to self-advocate - in medical settings, in relationships, and in how they care for themselves.

Whether you're facing your own diagnosis, supporting someone else, or navigating the emotional and relational impact that unfolds across time, your role, experience, and perspective are unique. And each one deserves care, space, and support.

Who I Work With

I offer therapy for adults affected by cancer - whether you're facing your own diagnosis, supporting someone else, or navigating the emotional and relational impact that unfolds across time. Each person's role, experience, and perspective are unique. And each one deserves care, space, and support.

Newly Diagnosed

When the world suddenly shifts beneath you, it can feel like everything is happening too fast - or like time has stopped. Therapy can be a place to slow down, name what you're feeling, and begin to process what this diagnosis means for you, your life, and your future.

In Treatment

Between appointments, side effects, scans, and decisions, there's often little space to tend to the emotional weight of it all. Together, we can make room for what's been pushed aside - fear, grief, anger, fatigue - and help you stay connected to your sense of self, even as your body and life are in flux.

Survivorship

When active treatment ends, life may begin to feel less intense on the outside - fewer appointments, fewer side effects - but the emotional impact often surfaces more fully. You might feel changed, off-track, or unsure how to return to “normal” when everything feels different. This can be a time to process what you've been through, make sense of the trauma and complexity, and begin reconnecting with what makes you feel alive, steady, and whole again - in a way that fits who you are now and honors what you've been through.

Caregivers & Loved Ones

Caring for someone with cancer can be both deeply loving and deeply exhausting. You may be juggling caregiving with work, parenting, or other responsibilities - all while carrying the emotional weight of watching someone you care about suffer. It's easy to end up putting your own needs last.

Therapy offers a place just for you: to exhale, speak freely, and feel supported as you support others.

Together, we slow things down.

We sort through what's most pressing, explore what's underneath, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

Kelley Nay sits thoughtfully in a green, sunlit space. She wears glasses and a soft sweater, appearing warm and approachable. The background features plants and calming decor creating a peaceful, inviting atmosphere.

My approach is warm, relational, and rooted in evidence-based care. I integrate a range of modalities, thoughtfully chosen to meet your needs and goals:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Practices
  • Nature-Based Therapy

I'll hold your story with care, ask thoughtful questions, reflect honestly, and support you in finding your way forward - with curiosity and respect.

My belief is simple: people are incredibly resilient. With the right support, we can face what's painful, reconnect with what matters, and move toward a life that feels more grounded - even in the midst of uncertainty.

We can make room for what's been pushed aside and help you stay connected to your sense of self.

It's about making space - for the real, the raw, the complex, and the hopeful.
